Guess what I've been doing!!! Here's a clue.
I actually had time to sit down and "tickle the ivories" for 15-20 minutes before I was called away to mother duty by the boys telling me something they need for camp. They are packing now.
And then there's my little feline friend, Khaki.
Khaki is my 12 1/2 year old cat that has been with us from North Carolina, to Alaska, to Florida and now to Virginia. She has always had skin problems, thus the scratches over her eye and on her ear. But they seem to have inproved since we moved here. She's been following me around tonight, as she has most nights since I moved up here. But she seems especially attached tonight, probably because I've gone back to work. She really couldn't care less about the cat in the picture with her. When we inherited it from my mother in law last summer, she took one cautious sniff of it and has ignore it ever since. So far, she seems to have adapted well to the move. The biggest adjustment for her has been getting used to a new pet door we installed to the basement. That's where her food, water and litter box are. The first 24 hours she had to go through that door, she would stop and watch the thing swing back and forth until it would stop abruptly. Then she would "holler" at it with a very loud meow before running off. It was so funny! I love my kitty!

I'm glad you had some time! It's been a bit crazy for you the past few months. ...how did I not know about your cat? I always heard you talk about the dog, but not the cat...or maybe I'm just old and forgot! Ha!
Ok, I didn't know about the cat, either. So how's the dog taking to the new house?
Ah Khaki. :) We have a very special relationship. I don't touch her butt, and she doesn't bite me.
Cat, did anybody say cat? I have one if you would like her!
We are off to Atlanta Saturday for the Drum Corps competition (Stephen and Jim) and shopping (Me!) and Katie is staying at MeiChing's until Sunday when she'll go to camp. We'll meet them at Gardner Webb and then be off to Ashville for 2 nights. We plan on being at the Biltmore Estate Monday and then drive to Charlotte Tuesday (our 30th Anniversary) to see the Billy Graham Library that just opened. We'll be back Tuesday night. Can't wait to get away.
Have a great weekend!
Glenda's still trying to get rid of that nitwit cat! LOL
Hope you have a good time, Happy Anniversary!! :)
