It's that time of year again. In 11 days, I have nine adults and ten
youngsters arriving on my doorstep. With the four of us, that makes a
total of 23 people for Thanksgiving. So I added some color to my front
door to get me in the spirit of Thanksgiving.
And I started shopping yesterday...beginning with a 24+ pound turkey!
I haven't finished yet! I still have more food to buy such as fresh produce and dairy products. Paper plates and disposal pans are a necessity. But with three sisters and my mother, I'll be very thankful to have lots of help in the kitchen!
They will be here beginning at dinner time Wednesday night thru breakfast Saturday morning. I have my friend below ready to greet them when they walk in the front door.

Wow! That is a LOT of food, but I'm sure you're the same way as me about family so it's all worth it. :) Hey, your front door looks just like mine!
Holy moly! But then again, it's almost that bad with our family! Love your wreath! Your door looks like mine, too! (Great minds, great taste!) Did you make it? That reminds me that I need to put mine up. It will be time for the Christmas one too soon!
Debbie-I wish I could say I made the wreath. But I got lucky. Michael's had all their fall decorations on sale 70% off. It was a $50 wreath and I got it for $15.
Hey, maybe that's a new idea for a blog subject. Call it "Doorways to Christmas" and everyone can post pictures of their doors when they decorate for the holidays.
That first shot is a great combination of colours ....
We have about the same amout of people but just for dinner since everyone lives in town. At least you'll have a good time with everyone. Your door looks great and I like your idea about Christmas!
