Isn't it amazing, what a difference a bit of hair makes? The pictures hardly seem like the same person! *L* The shorter hair makes him look a bit older, too.
I hear you about the smiling - my teen daughter is like that, too.
Now I would much rather the after picture come knocking at my door to date my daughter. Very respectful and clean up (and did I mention handsome) young man.

He is a fine looking young man. I agree, shorter looks older. (Not old, just more grown-up)
