For the Love of "Bankie"

When "A" was born, a friend of mine made him this blanket with a hood. Needless to say, this blanket became one of his favorites as a child, since he could wear it around like a cape. I was down in the basement the other night with my husband when "A" walked down to see what we were doing. I had found his blanket and set it aside to put away in his memory box. But when he saw it, he immediately snatched it up and took it upstairs with him. When we came back upstairs, this is how I found him and his blanket. I'll probably need to hide it on his wedding day so he won't wear it as his bride walks down the aisle!

Nice! You still have a raggedy piece of 'white soft blankie'? I'm jealous. My favorite was 'Baby Blue'. Over the years she fell apart, and Mom cleaned out the toy box one day and threw her out. All I had left of her was her arm. That's gone too. I wonder if I could find another one somewhere. She was called 'Baby Blue Eyes'. I couldn't sleep or go anywhere without her!

Oh, I still have all of white soft blankie, just with a couple of holes and missing the satin trim. :)
