My new dining room rug.

No dining room furniture yet, but the floor's covered!

BATHROOM BLUES

The half bath downstairs looked like this when we moved in.

Pretty color, but way too dark for such a small room.

The same border that's around the top of the room above was around the

middle of the walls too. In the picture below, I had already removed it,

but you can still see where it was.

So after alot of primer and some smoky blue paint, we lightened up the small room and transformed it into our new lighthouse bathroom. We just finished putting the shelves and stuff up on the wall tonight. I still need rugs and towels to match. I'm thinking a light rust color that's in the matting on the picture.

I'm still working on the rest of the decor. Our last lighthouse bathroom

was painted yellow so the color scheme was a bit different.

And the white fixtures really stand out now instead of being overwhelmed.
