I'm Back!

Life has been a bit busy this past week. We had orientation at the boys high school, my parents came to visit this weekend, we are planning and preparing for a huge housewarming party for this weekend, the marching band peformed demo for parents, T of course had hockey practice the same night as orientation and M was out of town all week. It's no wonder I ended up with a nasty head cold! But the weather is beautiful here, just a hint of Fall in the cool breeze. I can't wait for the leaves to start changing. I'll be taking lots of picture then!

HUMMINGBIRD BLUE

This morning, a hummingbird found it's way into our garage and couldn't find it's way out. While M went for a broom to help guide the little fellow out, I took the opportunity to get this silhouette.

He eventually found his way out, but not until he took a little break. He was so exhausted that it took a couple of tries to get him started toward the door again.

NEW HIGH SCHOOL
A and T start school tomorrow. Back to the halls of education. I took these pictures of their new school at dusk just after the marching band peformance for parents.

The first football game is this Friday night and A will be on the field at halftime as a "Marching Wildcat." I'm told there's a heck of a tailgate party before the first game. I'm looking forward to it!

I feel your pain - I got the nasty head cold last week, too. Looks like everything is shaping up nicely there.

Wow! Great hummingbird picture! You need to put a feeder out somwhere you can sit and watch them. Is there a deck or porch on the back of your house? I forget. And what a nice-looking highschool! Have fun with the marching band thing. T was close to being in the color guard this year...long story. I miss being a band parent, so you'll have to enjoy it enough for both of us! Can't wait to see pics of the fall colors...
